Constituency Description
Stratford has for a long time been a rural seat nestled around one largish town and half a dozen small towns and large amounts of rural hinterland - it has been Conservative for years. However, it has started to change - the arrival of the M40/M42 combined with urban flight from the West Midlands conurbation has started to change the character of parts of this this rural seat.

It was the 5th largest seat in the UK at the last election, despite redistribution in the last boundary changes - much of this is due to the growth in the north-west of the seat.
