This is an exciting time for our Party. With Labour, Britain has got better. Crime is down; there are record numbers of people in work; NHS waiting lists are at their lowest ever; school results are better than ever; Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit has increased; and there are now free prescriptions and free eye tests for pensioners.

Compare this to when the Tories ran the country: with boom and bust economics; workers being legally paid a pittance on just £1.20 an hour; child poverty doubled; chronic under investment in our schools and hospitals; and 3 million people unemployed.

With a new leader the Labour Party is moving forward to move Britain forward. Our goals are full employment; an end to child poverty; strong public services; and to continue tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.
